Time to nerd out and listen up! Yes.
Motopony - Seer
I spent the time on my flights from Pittsburgh to LA yesterday catching up on tunes. After carrying it around for weeks, I finally read last month’s MOJO (the one with Marley on the cover) and listened to a backlog of podcasts. My “TO LISTEN” list is now about 50 deeper than it was. Being a music nerd is tough work.
Anyway, NPR Music turned me on to this Seattle-based band. I knew this track but I didn’t know where it came from. I can’t decide whether I’ve heard it on ex.fm/hypem/turntable or if it was actually recorded in the late 70s and its “new” status is a ruse. Either way, this is straight out of the ZZ Top/CCR/Allman Brothers playbook and I love it.

Anyhow, I’m really enjoying this song. Does that make me uncool? Oh, whatever. When have I ever been cool? ;)
