With wonderful weather forecast, we had a lovely shoot in the sunshine planned out for when Madi Diaz made the trip from Music Town- Nashville- to the bright lights of New York. The weatherman wasn’t happy with our plans, however and hours before we were due to meet the heavens unpredictably opened. This, however, was a small twist of fate with unexpected, incredible consequences.

We scouted some indoor locations and our good friend Zach happened upon the magical emporium that is Archangel Antiques. The lovely little shop in the East Village is a cavern of mysterious oddities, holding masses of vintage buttons, a colossal cufflink collection, clothing, jewelry , furnishings the unusual and unpredictable. As Madi and Kyle settled down to perform two enchanting songs, passers by were captivated and stopped in the street (despite the rain) to enjoy the entrancing melodies that wound away out of the shop door.

The result: a magical video that we know you are all going to love. Thank you to Richard, for letting us film in your beautiful shop. And thank you Madi, for gifting us your beautiful music. #13 is unlucky for some, but as you will see when you watch, most definitely not for us here at Secret Sound Shop.
