“St. Croix” // Family of the Year

When I was in New York for CMJ, I got the chance to preview this music video during a tinyOGRE presentation. I fancy the song incredibly catchy and the video is sweeter than honey. Enjoy this sandy swoon song as winter approaches, and daydream of thoe sunny summer days!

Family of the Year - St. Croix

The new video for the title track of the latest EP from Los Angeles outfit Family of the Year is a humorous take on the cheesy beach movies of yester-year.  Full of sunshine, smiles and a tongue-in-cheek appreciation of the aesthetics and feel of that period the video perfectly accompanies the track which is as uplifting as getting a hug from an orang-utan or tectonic plates moving.  Comparable levels of cheer I’m sure you’ll agree!

The “St. Croix” EP is out now via tinyOGRE.

Family of the Year - St. Croix

I just got this wonderfully breezy track, St. Croix from Family of the Year,s a 6 piece indie / folk / pop band out of Los Angeles.   St. Croix is featured on a brand new EP which was released back on 9/27, and a full length out in early 2012.  St. Croix is an extremely catchy song that I wish I would have heard for the long days of summer.  Its a toe tapping song that will have you singing along as the chorus is one of the more infectious lines I’ve heard this year.   The band brings forth a great set of harmonies and they sound even bigger than they already are.
